Fairy tale - lie?

Fairy tale - lie? 03.01.17

Do you want a fairy tale about a tunnel? Not long ago in Odesa there was a tunnel that was called nothing less than magical. Not all Odesa residents knew of its existence, but some visitors to the city came specially to see this attraction. And there was indeed something to see! In the 'Magnolia' sanatorium there was an elevator that allowed its passengers to reach the sea as quickly as possible and took them down two hundred meters (approximately from the fifth floor level to the first). From the elevator to the sea exit ran a tunnel built back in the 1970s. At one time it was decided to face it with tiles so that it would not be affected by mold, and this was done very creatively! The walls of the tunnel were decorated with ornaments, fairy-tale plots, and quotes from poems. They featured birds, gnomes, mermaids, dolphins, ships and anchors. Moreover, the lighting in the tunnel was of various colors – from violet to green, sometimes transitioning to yellow and blue. тоннель сказок одесса сказочный тоннель Магнолия тоннель сказок лифт к морю мозаика в тоннеле сказок What happened to this fairy tale, you ask? The sanatorium was sold and all its buildings were demolished, and the elevator with the tunnel was closed to visitors, and its fate remains unknown so far. We hope that the new owner will properly appreciate this attraction and that such a fairy tale will have a good ending!
