Do you remember how as children we were told that the best gift is a book? But what could be the best gift for the book itself? Of course, grateful readers and the beauty and comfort of the place where the books are located. At the beginning of September this year, the gift of the renovated Mikhail Hrushevsky Library was received not only by the books but by the whole city! The reconstruction, which lasted one and a half months, transformed the library into a large modern space, more reminiscent of a hub. The funds for creating the new look of the library (4 million hryvnias) were allocated by the fund «For the Benefit of Odesa».

Panoramic windows, increasing the space and filling it with lightness, unusual furniture, new loft-style shelving, cushions on wide window sills, two zones where the lower one is a place for holding master classes, presentations, creative meetings, and the upper one is the library itself - all this gives a new meaning to the concept of 'library'.

This space can now firmly take its place in the hearts of Odessans who want to learn something new and share their knowledge with others. By the way, librarians will be very happy if their visitors bring books for bookcrossing or simply – book exchange. The renovated library welcomes guests at the address: Troitskaya St., 49 on weekdays (except Monday) from 10:00 to 19:00, and on weekends from 10:00 to 18:00.
