Passport translation in Ukraine is carried out by translation bureaus provided the original passport has a mark of crossing the Ukrainian border. Translation bureaus usually also organize notarization of such translation.
Such a procedure takes about 30 minutes and costs around 10 US dollars.

Obtaining a tax identification number in Odesa for a foreigner.
There are two ways: submit documents yourself or use a lawyer's service.
If doing it yourself:
- You need to fill out the Registration Card 1ДР. In it you must also indicate place of birth, place of residence (with postal index), tax number in your country of citizenship. - Personally submit the completed registration card to the tax inspectorate at French Boulevard, 7 during reception hours (Monday and Thursday from 9:30 to 13:00). Additionally submit a copy of the passport and a copy of the notarized translation of the passport into Ukrainian. Have the originals of these documents on hand for presentation.
- Within three working days the information will be entered into the register and a tax identification number assigned. This is done free of charge.
- Again contact the tax office with your original passport and translation of the passport to obtain a document – certificate of assignment of tax identification number. The certificate is issued free of charge.
