In childhood, we lived in Cheryomushki. Our yard had many three-room apartments and many children lived there. We often walked around Cheryomushki, and one day we noticed that on the neighboring street, repairs were being carried out and old road signs were collected in one pile. We decided to "borrow" two pairs of signs: "Entrance to a residential area"/"End of residential area" and "Pedestrian crossing". There was no place to buy fasteners, but we found wire in our three-room apartment in Cheryomushki. With this wire, we attached the "Entrance to a residential area" sign to the lampposts at the entrances to our courtyard, located in the Cheryomushki district. This courtyard connected two parallel streets. We hoped that our small action would reduce the number of cars driving through our yard. We attached the "Pedestrian crossing" sign to a narrow street near our courtyard, where there was a pedestrian path.
S twenty years later, a new building was built on an empty lot near our courtyard and a huge billboard was installed next to it:
buy a three-room apartment in Odessa Cheryomushki.
In addition, our courtyard and street were repaired. And all our homemade road signs were replaced with new ones, they were installed in the same places and on normal pillars. These pillars were painted with reflective paint, and under the "Pedestrian crossing" signs, they even drew a zebra.
