Munich Airport not without reason wins the title of best airport in Europe for the eighth time and – for the third time – the best airport in the world according to World Airport Awards.
This year it adorned itself with a Christmas market, two ice skating rinks, and 450 real living Christmas trees!
At the market you will find not only local handicrafts, but also the most delicious mulled wine, roasted almonds, and other treats. The central part of the market is a huge decorated Christmas tree 50 meters high and an ice rink with free admission. Next to the figure skating rink there is another rink for traditional Bavarian ice sport – curling. Unfortunately, the time slots for this rink are almost fully booked, so you will have to settle for just watching.
Every other Tuesday, jazz and rock performers will hold live concerts until the market closes – until December 30th.
However, Munich Airport offers its visitors not only all of the above, but also the world's only brewery with fresh beer located in the airport!
So you won't want to leave anywhere, although, it's better to be at home than to be offered as a guest! And
